　　The difference of water quality damage relative to open cooling tower and closed cooling tower:

　　In the open cooling tower, the damage of water quality will be much more serious than that of the closed cooling tower. Circulation is relatively simple, because of the open type cooling tower are spray water through the pipe pump, circulation into the spray, then return to reservoir, in this link, spray water is all over each process, and used in a small part of the industry must also facilities under the condition of heat exchanger, as poor water quality relative to the interior of the heat exchanger can also cause bad damage. The inner circulation and the outer circulation of the closed cooling tower are separated. Only the spray water is used in the outer circulation, and it only passes through the surface of the condenser. Therefore, relatively speaking, the damage of the water quality to the closed cooling tower is not as serious as that.

　　Water quality level relative to cooling tower damage:

　　1, scale: whether open cooling tower or closed cooling tower scale is certainly will form, open cooling tower scale is mainly concentrated on the packing, closed cooling tower scale is mainly concentrated in the surface of the condenser, a small part or will be attached to the inside of the cooling tower. Scale on the corrosion of cooling tower tower wall, condenser and packing must be corrosive;

　　2, the destruction of the packing: the scale formed is usually attached to the surface of the packing, but the packing is a layer of good plastic, the net weight of the scale is very large, long time will cause the packing to be torn, destroyed, damage the normal use, if necessary, must be replaced;

　　3, heat dissipation: scale attached to the filler and attached to the surface of the condenser, will damage the heat dissipation effect and exhaust effect. The circulating air is mainly through the gap between the packing and the condenser flow to complete the heat transfer, scale will occupy a small part of the space, the exhaust air will be reduced, in addition to scale will damage the cooling effect of the packing and condenser;

　　4, spray head: the main function of the spray head is to atomize the spray water, spray evenly, oil impurities will undoubtedly block the spray head, cause the spray asymmetry in the space, cause a small part of the dry point, or a small part of the packing dry condition, this kind of situation will cause the cooling tower fire under high heat;

　　5, the pump: the pump is the main power system for spraying water. If there is silt, it is usually sucked into the pump, which will cause the pump to block. The oil filter in the pump, however, does not rule out the damage of the filter and the fine sand through the filter, which causes the water pump circulation to be insufficient, and the heat and power are weak.

　　Therefore, the poor water quality is very harmful to the cooling tower, and it will also damage the service life of the cooling tower, especially in the rainy season, and the circulating water should be discharged on time.
