Initial and Seasonal Launch
Before turning on the device power, check the following:
1. Remove all debris, such as leaves and garbage on the style fence.
2. Rinse the spray tank to remove sediment and dirt.
3. Check if the mechanical float valve is operating flexibly.
4. Check the nozzles of the water distribution system and clean them if necessary. Check if the nozzle orientation is correct. (There is no need to check this item when starting for the first time. The cleaning and orientation setting of the nozzle have been completed before leaving the factory.)
5. Check and ensure that the water blocking plate is securely in place.
6. Adjust the tightness of the fan and water pump screws (if necessary).
7. Lubricate the ventilation fan bearings before seasonal start-up.
8. Rotate the fan blades to ensure normal and unobstructed rotation.
9. Visually inspect the blades of the ventilation fan. Is the gap between the blade tip and the air duct uniform, and is the blade plane flat. The blades should be securely fastened to the fan.
10. If there is stagnant water in the "dead corners" of the system and pipelines, the equipment should be disinfected before the ventilation fan is operated.
11. Fill the spray tank with water until the overflow port is located.
12. For a closed cooling tower, fill the designated medium into the heat exchange coil and use the exhaust hole at the coil inlet to discharge the air from the system before pressurization.
After the device is powered on, check the following:
1. Adjust the mechanical float valve as needed.
2. The water level of the unit's water pan should be at the normal working water level.
3. Check and confirm that the fan rotates in the correct direction.
4. Turn on the spray pump, check and confirm that the impeller rotates in the direction indicated by the arrow on the front cover.
5. Measure the voltage and current of all three-phase power supplies. The current should not exceed the full load current indicated on the motor nameplate by too much, and the service factor should be included in the calculation.
6. Adjust the drain valve to the appropriate flow rate. Please consult with a qualified water treatment company in your local area for the required small sewage flow rate.
7. For more maintenance of fans and water pumps, please refer to "Common Problems and Solutions of Water Pumps" and "Common Problems and Maintenance of Fans"
Attention: Closed cooling towers can only be used for closed pressurized systems. If continuously used in open systems, it will cause corrosion inside the pipes, resulting in a shorter service life of the cooling tower.
