　　1. Population water temperature

　　The water temperature at the inlet of the cooling tower should be measured in the pressure steel pipe. Therefore, the thermometer bushing should be pre-welded on the pipe, as shown in Fig. 2-2. The bushing is usually made of copper pipe or stainless steel tube with the wall thickness of 1 mm. During observation, a small amount of dry turbine oil can be installed in the casing for better heat transfer, and the amount of oil can swallow the mercury bulb of the thermometer. 　　After cooling, the water temperature is generally at the side of the open parts such as the gate of the backwater ditch and the filter net. If necessary, several side basins of observation points should be arranged in the collecting pool of the cooling tower.
