Scope of application of cooling tower
The waste heat generated in industrial production or refrigeration processes is generally guided away by cooling water. The function of a cooling tower is to exchange heat between the cooling water carrying waste heat and the air inside the tower, transferring the waste heat to the air and dissipating it into the atmosphere. For example, in a thermal power plant, the boiler heats water into high-temperature and high-pressure steam, which drives the steam turbine to generate electricity. The waste steam generated by the steam turbine is discharged into the condenser, where it exchanges heat with the cooling water and condenses into water, which is then pumped back to the boiler for recycling. During this process, the waste heat from the exhaust steam is transferred to the cooling water, causing the water temperature to rise. The cooling water carrying the waste heat transfers heat to the air in the cooling tower and is discharged into the atmosphere through the air duct.
Application scope of cooling towers: mainly used in air conditioning cooling systems, refrigeration series, injection molding, leather making, foaming, power generation, steam turbines, aluminum profile processing, air compressors, industrial water cooling and other fields, with more applications in air conditioning cooling, refrigeration, and plastic chemical industries.
6、 Installation reference for cooling tower
1. Environment selection:
(1) It should be avoided to install in waterproof channels or high walls that are prone to reflecting sound volume, and should be installed on roofs or in places with good air circulation.
(2) When using two or more cooling towers together, attention should be paid to the spacing between the tower bodies.
(3) It should not be installed in areas with external walls or tight ventilation on all sides, and attention should be paid to the distance between the tower body and the external walls.
(4) Avoid installing in areas with high levels of coal smoke and dust to prevent blockages.
(5) Keep away from the kitchen and boiler room and wait in hot places.
2. Installation points:
(1) The foundation should be horizontal and not tilted, and the centerline of the cooling tower should be perpendicular to the horizontal plane.
(2) For the inlet and outlet pipes of cooling towers with a capacity of 175 tons or more, support brackets should be adjusted.
(3) When there are two or more water pumps, a balance water pipe should be added between the two pots.
(4) Circulating water inlet and outlet connections should be connected using shock absorbers.
(5) The blades of the cooling tower fan should have the same gap with the tower wall, and it is not allowed for the gap on both sides to differ too much. Any problems found should be solved in a timely manner.
(6) The motor and reducer should be regularly inspected and maintained, and the oil level of the reducer should be checked.
3. Start check:
(1) Are all screws tightened and are there any debris inside the tower.
(2) Whether the fan and sprinkler system rotate smoothly.
(3) Check if the power supply and motor voltage are consistent.
(4) Is the belt assembly installed correctly.
(5) Open the water replenishment valve to completely fill the water basin and pipes with water, with the water level 25mm below the full water pipe.
(6) When starting, start the water pump first and then turn on the fan, check the wind direction and volume, and adjust them in a timely manner until they meet the requirements.
(7) When stopping, first stop the fan and then stop the water pump.
4. Operation check:
(1) Keep the water tower clean and regularly treat the water quality.
(2) After running for about 60 hours, the belt tension must be rechecked to ensure normal operation.
(3) The oil level of the gearbox and the lubricating oil must be replaced after 150 hours of operation
