Cooling Tower Cleaning and Treatment Plan Process
Shutdown cleaning:
Following the cleaning process of sterilization, algae removal, cleaning, descaling agent cleaning, pre film cleaning, and post cleaning. This plan requires a cleaning time of about eight days in a shutdown state, with a descaling rate of over 95%.
Cleaning program: water flushing - sterilization and algae removal cleaning - cleaning agent descaling cleaning - rinsing after cleaning - pre film - cleaning after cleaning.
(1) Rinse with water:
The purpose of water flushing is to use a large flow of water to flush away loose dirt such as dust, sediment, fallen algae, and corrosive substances in the system as much as possible, while checking for leaks in the system. The flow rate of the flushing water should be greater than 0.15m/s, and after the flushing is qualified, the flushing water in the system should be drained.
(2) Sterilization and algae removal cleaning:
The purpose of sterilization and algae removal cleaning is to kill microorganisms in the system and remove the biofouling adhering to the surface of the equipment. After draining the flushing water, add a sterilizing and algae killing agent to the system for cleaning. Stop cleaning when the turbidity of the system reaches equilibrium.?
(3) Cleaning solution descaling cleaning:
The purpose of cleaning with cleaning solution is to use cleaning agents to dissolve scale and oxides in the system and rinse them off by dissolving them in water. Add cleaning agent to the central air conditioning system and use a circulating pump to clean it. Drain at the highest point and drain at the lowest point to avoid air resistance and blockage of the drainage system, which may affect the cleaning effect.
(4) Rinse after cleaning:
The purpose of this water flushing is to remove any residual cleaning solution and impurities that may have been removed during cleaning. The flushing process involves continuously opening the drainage system to flush away any impurities or residual liquid that may have accumulated in the short tube. Flushing is a continuous test of pH and turbidity, and ends when the pH and turbidity levels off.?
(5) Pre film:
The purpose of pre coating is to form a complete corrosion-resistant protective film on the metal surface that is in an activated state after cleaning or on the metal surface where the protective film is damaged.
(6) Cleaning after cleaning:
1. Cleaning of cooler evaporator:
After cleaning, the cooler and evaporator of the host should be turned on, and the cooler should be flushed with a dedicated tube by tube flushing device. Rinse the evaporator with high-pressure water to thoroughly remove impurities that have settled inside the evaporator. If necessary, clean the external circulation system of the evaporator separately.
2. Cooling tower cleaning:
Due to the exposure of the cooling tower to the atmosphere, a large amount of sediment, algae, etc. will adhere to the surface of the cooling tower packing during operation. If not cleaned thoroughly, these dirt will be washed into the cooler during future operation, causing blockage of the heat exchange copper tubes inside the cooler and affecting the heat exchange efficiency. Therefore, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the cooling tower.
