The counter-current cooling tower is more commonly used in narrow and small places, where air flow is not very smooth, or for projects with high temperature requirements, above 60 degrees, counter-current cooling towers are used. The characteristics of the counter-current cooling tower are as follows:
1. Compact structure. The counter-current cooling tower occupies less space, saves space, and can be easily moved. In terms of heat dissipation volume, its fin is much more than that of the cross flow cooling tower, and the heat dissipation effect will be more ideal.
2. The counter-current cooling tower does not use the water distribution system of the cross flow tower, and it adopts a whole tower water distribution method without dead corners, which allows all the packing to be soaked with water, improving efficiency.
3. The counter-current cooling tower is more expensive than the cross flow, with a more complex structure and more heat dissipation material than the cross flow tower. However, its only drawback is the water drop, which will produce certain noise. Of course, many industrial projects do not have strict requirements for the noise of cooling towers. Another drawback is the lack of a maintenance channel, making maintenance less convenient.
