1. Cross flow cooling towers should be equipped with measures to prevent short circuit circulation of air from the bottom of the packing to the water surface.
2. Cross flow cooling towers should control the height from the top of the packing to the lower edge of the fan suction section to be equal to or greater than 0.2 times the diameter of the fan.
3. A counter current cooling tower with double-sided air intake should be equipped with a middle windbreak partition. The upper edge of the partition should be 200-300mm away from the bottom of the packing support beam, and the lower edge should extend below the water level of the tower's collection tank.
4. The water filling material of the cross flow cooling tower should have a contraction angle towards the vertical axis of the tower from top to bottom. The shrinkage angle of the drip type water filling material should be between 9 ° and 11 °; The shrinkage angle of the film type water spraying filler should be between 5 ° and 6 °.
5. The height of the airflow contraction section between the top surface of the counter current cooling tower packing and the inlet of the air duct shall comply with the following regulations:
a、 When the top cover plate of the tower is flat, the top angle of the airflow contraction section from the top surface of the packing should be less than 90 °; When a guide ring (umbrella) is installed under the flat top cover, the top angle of the airflow contraction section from the top surface of the water collector can be 90 ° to 110 °.
b、 When the top cover plate of the tower is a contraction type above the water collector, the top angle of the contraction section cover plate should be between 90 ° and 110 °.
