What are the design requirements for cooling towers
(1) The cooling tower should have high cooling efficiency, low energy consumption, low noise, light weight, small size, long service life, simple installation and maintenance, and less floating water.
(2) The selected cooling tower should comply with the requirements of "Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic Cooling Tower Part 2: Large Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic Cooling Tower" GB7190.2-1997.
(3) When there is a significant difference between the design conditions and the standard conditions for low-temperature cooling towers, the selection should be based on the thermal performance curve provided in the product sample.
(4) If the thermal performance curve provided by the manufacturer is compiled and drawn using test data from a simulated tower, the test data of the simulated tower should be corrected by a correction factor of 0.80-1.00 based on the difference between the test conditions of the simulated tower and the operating conditions of the design tower.
(5) The location of the cooling tower should be kept at a certain distance from the building and avoid being arranged near the heat source, exhaust gas, and smoke discharge outlet. If the above requirements cannot be met, technical measures should be taken and the thermal performance should be checked.
(6) Circulating cooling water should be free of oil and substances that corrode fiberglass, and the turbidity of the water should not exceed 50mg/L. And measures should be taken to eliminate algae and stabilize water quality.
(7) The designed circulating water volume should not exceed the rated water volume of the cooling tower. If the circulating water volume does not reach 80% of the rated water volume, the selected cooling tower water distribution system should be checked.
(8) The number of cooling towers should match the number of air conditioning refrigeration units.
(9) According to the requirements for noise control of civil buildings in the "Environmental Noise Standards for Urban Areas" GB3096-1993, low-noise or ultra-low noise cooling towers can be selected through spatial attenuation calculation of noise. If the environmental noise indicators cannot be met, further noise reduction measures should be taken.
(10) It is advisable to install roof fire hydrants and flushing facilities near the cooling tower for the purpose of extinguishing fires and flushing water filling materials and sediment inside the tower.
(11) The material of the cooling tower should be flame retardant and meet fire prevention requirements, which should be indicated in the main equipment list and purchase contract.
(12) When selecting a cooling tower, attention should be paid to the coordination and coordination of electrical control.
