
Selection criteria and installation requirements for cooling towers
1. Determine the total amount of fluid heat dissipation Q, Kw/h;
2. Determine the desired inlet and outlet water temperature difference Δ t for the cooling tower, i.e. T1-T2. In air conditioning engineering, absorption chillers generally take Δ t=8 ℃; The compression refrigerant is generally taken as Δ t=5 ℃.
3. Calculate the cooling water volume according to the following formula:
Nominal water volume=3.6 × Q × K/(C × Δ t) m3/h
Note: K absorption formula is taken as 3.0;
Compression type takes 1.56;
The specific heat of C water is 4.19 KJ/(kg ℃).
4. According to the local meteorological conditions, when the wet bulb temperature is less than 27 ℃, no design allowance is required.
Example: A lithium bromide refrigeration machine with a cooling capacity of 1160KW/H is equipped with a cooling tower, and the temperature of the refrigerant cooling water entering the installation site is required to be no higher than 32 ℃. The atmospheric wet bulb temperature at the installation site is 28 ℃. Take K=3. C=4.19Kj/kg, Δ t=8 ℃; So the nominal water volume is 3.6 × 1160 × 3/(4.19 × 8)=373m3/h; The model of the cooling tower is 375 or 400m3/h, with a temperature difference of 40-32=8 ℃;
1. The installation of cooling towers should be based on various conditions of the equipment, taking into account the ground and load capacity of their installation location, as well as the necessary external conditions.
2. During installation, it should be noted that the foundation of the cooling tower should be pre embedded with horizontal steel plates according to the specified dimensions, and the elevation of each foundation point should be on the same horizontal plane at the same elevation.
3. The tower should be placed horizontally. During the construction and installation of the water tower, in order to prevent damage to the chassis, construction personnel should step on the reinforcing ribs of the chassis. When installing fiber components such as the tower shell and chassis, screws can be threaded first to prevent deformation of the shell and chassis, and then gradually tightened in sequence. After confirming that the chassis is not deformed and the surrounding area is clean and dry, fiber felt and resin coating can be laid at the contact points to avoid water leakage during use.
4. Cooling towers must not be installed in areas with poor ventilation or humid air backflow, but must be installed in well ventilated areas. Otherwise, it will reduce the cooling capacity of the cooling tower. Cooling towers are generally installed on the roof of refrigeration stations to form a high-pressure head to overcome the resistance loss of condensers. The water pump extracts the cooling water that needs to be processed from the water tank and sends it to the cooling tower. After cooling, it flows down from the bottom collection tray of the tower into the condenser, and then flows into the water tank by the head pressure difference, and so on.
5. During installation, it should be positioned according to the coordinates indicated on the construction drawing, and leveled and aligned. The equipment should be stable and firm, and the direction and position of the outlet pipe and nozzle of the cooling tower should be correct.
