
What should be considered when selecting safety valves for industrial closed cooling towers?
Safety valve is one of the important components of cooling tower, playing an important role in protecting the safe operation of cooling tower equipment. The selection of safety valves for industrial closed cooling towers should refer to the following two points:
1. When choosing a safety valve suitable for a cooling tower, the key issue is its displacement, that is, the displacement of the safety valve used for the cooling tower must be greater than its safe discharge capacity. Only in this way can we ensure that when the container is overpressure, the safety valve can be opened to promptly release gas, in order to prevent the pressure inside the container from continuing to rise. High pressure spring type safety valves should not be overloaded. For low-pressure vessels, the low-pressure safety valve of high-pressure tower equipment should not be overloaded. According to the working pressure of tower equipment, springs of the same height should be used.
2. When selecting safety valves for industrial closed cooling towers, the process conditions of the equipment and the characteristics of the working medium should also be considered. For general tower equipment, spring type safety valves should be used. For towers with low pressure and no vibration, lever type safety valves can be used for similar equipment. If there are toxic, flammable, explosive gases, or other gases that pollute the atmosphere in the working medium of tower equipment, a sealed safety valve should be selected.
When constructing or installing an industrial closed cooling tower and putting it into operation, the design unit or manufacturer should provide all characteristic data of the cooling tower, including thermal characteristics, resistance characteristics, water load, heat load, ambient temperature (dry, wet) bulb temperature, cooling range, air flow rate, power consumption, wind loss, evaporation water volume, supplementary water volume, concentration ratio, fan power consumption, water pressure entering the tower, etc. The relevant departments should base the cost of the user unit on the above design unit. Otherwise, the manufacturer should provide all characteristic data and various contents of the FRP cooling tower and maintain good operation records.
