Daily operation and management of cooling towers
To ensure the optimal operation of the cooling tower, it is necessary to carry out daily operation management of the tower, which mainly includes the following aspects:
✔ 1. Develop an economically reasonable operating mode based on production load, meteorological conditions, and the status of each tower equipment.
✔ 2. Regularly observe and record the operating parameters of each cooling tower, usually every 2 hours. The recorded content includes meteorological conditions, the operation status of the cooling tower, and relevant notes.
✔ 3. Based on winter meteorological conditions, production load, and equipment status, develop a winter operation plan and winter antifreeze measures for the cooling tower group.
✔ 4. Regularly analyze the changes in the thermal holding capacity of the cooling tower and their causes, and analyze the overall efficiency of the tower's operation.
✔ 5. Regularly inspect and record defects in the cooling tower and circulating water system, and report to relevant parties.
✔ 6. Reasonably adjust and allocate the water load of each parallel operating cooling tower to make the overall water temperature * low after cooling. Reasonably adjust the water level of each water tank in the cooling tower to ensure a uniform and reasonable distribution of water spray density. It is not allowed for the water level in the distribution tank to be too high and overflow directly. At the same time, the water level difference between each distribution tank in the tower should not exceed 10% to 15%, and the outlet water temperature difference of the same type of cooling tower should not exceed 1 ℃.
✔ 7. Implement a comprehensive and reasonable pollution discharge plan correctly; Observe the cleanliness and water quality of the cooling equipment; Regularly inspect and ensure the normal operation of the sewage system, and keep relevant records.
✔ 8. Observe the leakage of cooling water and equipment such as circulating water ditches. When the cooling system is shut down, it can be judged based on changes in water level; The cooling operation can be judged based on the changes in the supply water volume and water level. If necessary, inspections should be organized.
✔ 9. Regularly observe the water levels in the collection tanks and circulation ditches of each cooling tower, so that the difference in water levels between different parts is not greater than 15%. Adjust the supplementary water volume in a timely manner to maintain the normal operation of the circulating water pump and avoid water leakage from the pool. When the water level difference between the front and back of the circulating water ditch filter exceeds 10cm, it indicates that the filter has been clogged and should be cleaned immediately.
✔ 10. Implement and adjust the winter operation plan and anti freezing measures correctly, including: operating the cooling tower properly for winter shutdown; Introduce a dedicated antifreeze water distribution system; Regularly adjust the windshield with warmth and diligence; Timely clean up harmful hanging ice; Take measures such as emptying and storing water or circulating water to protect and prevent freezing for equipment that has been shut down.
✔ 11. For rotating equipment such as mechanical ventilation cooling fans, monitoring should be strengthened during operation; Mechanical friction noise, blade swing, motor temperature rise, changes in gearbox and bearing oil levels, and oil pump operation.
✔ 12. In the cold season, it is necessary to prevent suspected water accumulation during operation. The number of circulating water pumps to be shut down and the number of cooling tower trees can only be determined after calculating and testing the winter operating circulating water volume based on meteorological conditions and load conditions.
